There's just something about how snow can transform a place you've seen countless times that begs to be captured on your camera or phone and shared. If your Instagram or Facebook uploads have been lacking lately, here are Polk County spots you should visit this winter for taking pictures and learning about the community.

Crookston Trails

You'll probably do plenty of walking when touring Crookston homes for sale, but if you're looking for a little more exercise, check out the various trails that weave their way through Crookston. You may decide to take in some nature at Red River Valley Natural History Area or see the snow-dusted scenery on the Kreutzberg Trails. Flood Memorial Marker

Just a short walk across Sorlie Memorial Bridge, the Flood Memorial Marker is a must-see landmark if you're visiting East Grand Forks homes for sale. This statue commemorates the historic flood of 1997 as well as other floods throughout the city's history by marking the height of the Red River when the water rose. Most of the time, the statue stands proud like a lighthouse and makes a great focal point for your photos when snow covers the ground and bridge.
