Halloween Events

Halloween may get all the headlines, but the popular holiday isn't the only occasion for special events in October. Our real estate agents share information on exciting activities taking place around Crookston homes for sale

  • Homecoming 2024 - University of Minnesota Crookston, 2900 University Ave., Crookston, MN 56716
    Celebrate the maroon and gold with students, faculty, alumni, and community members during Homecoming 2024 at the University of Minnesota Crookston. The week of October 7-13 is jam-packed with activities that offer something for everyone. Events open to the public include Powderpuff Football (10/10), hockey games (10/11 & 10/12), Parking Lot Party (10/12), and Homecoming Dance (10/12). Visit the website for updates.

  • Halloween Watercolors and Crafts - Crookston Public Library, 110 N. Ash St., Crookston, MN 56716
    Kids can have a blast creating their own spooky decorations at Halloween Watercolors and Crafts. Children ages 3-13 are invited to use watercolor paints in designing bats, pumpkins, and other traditional Halloween images. Young ones under age 3 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Mark your calendar for Friday, October 25, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Admission is free, and all supplies are provided at no charge.

  • The Glass Menagerie - Crookston Community Theatre, 719 E. Roberts St., Crookston, MN 56716
    The Glass Menagerie, one of Tennessee Williams' classic plays, comes to life at the Crookston Community Theatre. First staged in 1944, The Glass Menagerie contains many autobiographical elements that Williams drew from his own troubled family. Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. daily from Thursday, October 10, through Sunday, October 13, and tickets are $18.

  • Comedy at the Grand - 124 E. 2nd St., Crookston, MN 56716
    If laughter is the best medicine, you'll live a long life after attending Comedy at the Grand. The historic Grand Theater is proud to present the return of two Crookston High School alumni who have gone on to careers in comedy. Ali Hormann mines laughs from her family life as the mom of three, while Steve Windels shares a humorous perspective on his day job as a wildlife biologist. Host Justin Neal provides wry observations on marriage, working from home, and other relatable topics of everyday life. Showtime for the 21+ event is 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, and tickets are $20.

  • Hoops on Halloween - UMN Crookston Wellness Center, 2900 University Ave., Crookston, MN 56716
    Do you have a budding Stephen Curry or Caitlin Clark in your family? Hoops on Halloween is an annual three-on-three tournament open to boys and girls in grades 3-8. The tip-off is on Sunday, October 27. The registration fee is $125, and the deadline is Wednesday, October 23.
